Kitchener Drain Rehabilitation – EBRD/MWRI

Funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in partnership with MottMacDonald and the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation (MWRI), this ongoing project supports the rehabilitation of the Kitchener Drain system. The scope includes performing a comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), developing an ESAP framework, preparing draft Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) documentation, and identifying training needs for project staff. All processes are aligned to ensure full compliance with EBRD (2019) environmental and social requirements, strengthening sustainable water management, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building for the long-term success of the system.
